Education is a systematic project, and the connection of education is a problem of long history. Present education is generally divided into college education, high school education and elementary education and students study in different schools thus the problem of connection of education appeared. Of course, the situation of connection of education is different between different education stages and the connection between junior high school and senior high school draws the attention of most of the teaching staffs.For a long time, geography teaching in junior high school and senior high school are independent from each other, and the communication and feedback of information between the two stages are limited. With the development of the new curriculum reform, problems such as the failed-connection of course content in textbook, too much requirement of students on the development of way of thinking and intelligence appear. During the process of problem finding and problems resolving, the communication and connection between geography teaching in junior high school and senior high school should be explored, established and improved to facilitate the transformation and improvement of teachers'teaching behavior and students'way of learning. Therefore, it is of great importance to study how to make good connection between junior high school and senior high school in teaching.This paper first briefly summarized the research situation of the connection of education at home and abroad, defined the concept of connection of education. The connection between geography teaching in junior high school and senior high school was defined as filling up the gap between geography teaching in junior high school and senior high school under the background of the new curriculum reform. After analysis it was found that structuralism teaching theory, optimization teaching theory and cognitive theory, constructivism theory and the theory of knowledge mastery have important implications for geography teaching in junior high school and senior high school. Secondly, this paper adopted the method of questionnaire to investigate the implementation of connection of geography teaching in several junior and senior high schools in Urumqi, and the present state and problems of connection of geography teaching were studied based on statistical analysis of the collected data.Finally, based on the investigation of the present state of the connection of geography teaching in Urumqi, the following questions were found: educational system in which geography teaching in grade three in junior high school is absent restricted the connection between junior and senior high school, teachers generally paid much attention to the connection between junior and senior high school, but didn't take any action; teachers'professional development should be enforced. Almost one third geography teachers are not professional and their teaching ability and methods should be improved, which all affect the implementation of connection in geography teaching.Therefore, aimed at those problems, the following advice is put forward: teaching system should be reformed to establish a better platform for connection of teaching; Junior high school teachers can make long-term plans for students'development; senior high school teachers should strengthen their consciousness of connection of teaching, further understand students'actual situation, make familiar with the textbook and the curriculum standard, master knowledge system of the subject, elaborately design teaching content, reasonably use modern information technology and pay attention to students' non-intelligent factors in learning, to guide students to choose suitable study method; when developing teaching of connection, teachers should provide students with a period of connection, research the curriculum standard, be clear with objectives, research the content of textbook and teaching method, appropriately revise the textbook, elaborately design the teaching plan and develop curriculum resources, pay attention to the guide of geographic study method and the cultivation of geographic study ability. |
