Study On Development Of The Learning And Training Management Of High-level Sport Teams In Universities In Fujian Province

China has started to build sport teams since 1987, which aimed to promote development of competitive sports in universities, gradually catch up with the international level, train excellent competitive athletes, as a new access to select excellent athletes for the nation. Meanwhile, the training style of combining sport and education enables athletes not only to improve the level of competitive sports, but also to accept higher education in colleges. Therefore, the athletes can develop themselves in an integrated way including morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetic etc.The development of high level sport teams in universities and colleges in Fujian province is comparatively stable. In 2005,the ministry of education office has issued"Notice about general colleges enrolling high-level athletes in 2005",and established high-level sport teams in 102 universities and colleges, including Xiamen University ,Fujian Normal University and Huaqiao University . In 2006,other three ones——Fuzhou University ,Jimei University and Fujian Public Security Academy (now Fujian Police Academy)were also added into the list. The programs of high-level sport teams in Fujian province include athletics, basketball, swimming, football, martial arts, badminton, volley ball.There are three aims or purposes of the high-level sport teams in universities and colleges of Fujian province :one is to compete in provincial games in representative of their universities or colleges ;the second is to compete in National University Games in representative of Fujian province ;the third is to compete in World University Games in representative of China. After over ten years, the first two aims have been comparatively fully achieved, while the third one has not come true. That is, there is no excellent athletes who can run prize in World University Games on behalf of China up to now .Moreover, those athletes wining gold medals in National University Games are almost allowed students trained by sport teams, while the students trained in schools are much rare. What on earth limits the development of competitive sports remains a common problem faced with all universities and colleges. The management of the athletes'learning and training should be put right at the top of the list .It's a systematic and complex project to manage earning and training of athletes in high level sport teams. By the on-the-spot investigation and survey on the learning and training conditions in all universities and colleges in Fujian province, their management features are collected ,including the organization of sport team, styles of building teams, the source of students, registration management (educational systems, professional arrangement, forms of grouping classes, literacy class evaluation methods, etc.), sports programs , training management, competition management, logistics management (facilities management, medical supervision and management, scientific research management, etc.), coaches management, etc.Through the statistics and logic analysis of questionnaires from investigation, we propose several suggestions below. Universities should build a professional management team; improve the recruitment quality; perfect the rewards and punishments systems in training and competition; build their own preponderate programs; perfect facilities; encourage related experts to devote themselves in studying high level sport teams; introduce the coaches competition mechanism; and attach importance to athletes'learning and training, invent suitable registration management method for athletes'develop; establish a new kind of management system.
