Reading is an important activity of human society, human beings learn best culture, access to basic knowledge, improve the aesthetic appeal of the effective ways. Secondary school students in reading, the narrative is the basis for reading other styles. Since the implementation of rehabilitation programs, many language teachers in how to improve their front-line independent reading ability and reading efficiency made great efforts. Elements of the theme with the popular teaching style, teachers, style consciousness is gradually fading, the effectiveness of reading in the style of language education fields left blank. Therefore, the author from the perspective of effectiveness, choose to study narrative is necessary and effective narrative reading, independent reading for students awareness, and promote students to develop language literacy is significant.This thesis the characteristics of the body from the narrative, from narrative theory to high school students to read more about effective behavior. Narrative reading in understanding the meaning and validity of the status of middle school students reading narrative based on the effectiveness of proposed measures high school students read the narrative. Because of gradient materials, students learn the characteristics of psychological development and diversity as its decision to evaluate the conditions; in terms of student self-monitoring, the authors recommended that students read the narrative to develop self-monitoring "question list", it not only to test the effectiveness of narrative reading provides a template, but also reflects the effectiveness of the factors that affect reading, to facilitate students to find their own reasons for reading inefficient.
