Autonomy of teaching which is performed by teachers has been the academic consensusamong scholars, and is a prerequisite and necessary condition of the work of teachers ineducation and teaching. Such a right is conducive to the protection of student education andprofessional status and the social status of teachers, and is conducive to professionaldevelopment of teachers and educational quality improvement. The discussion of teachingautonomy on physical education teachers is not only combining with the basic characteristics ofcollege physical education in the context of new curriculum, but it can not ignore the value andstatus of physical education in colleges. College's physical education is an important part of thenational higher education, and physical teaching is the core of physical education in colleges,therefore, it is particularly important that integrated education, management, and physicaleducation properties summarize concept, meaning, boundaries, aims achieved and influencingfactors.The study subject is on the current situation of teaching autonomy and influencing factorsof the teaching autonomy realization of PE teachers in 12 colleges in Liaoning Province. It takes"the autonomy of physical education of teachers in colleges'research questionnaire" as aresearch tool to analyze the whole situation of the autonomy of physical education teaching ofteachers in colleges, obtaining situations of the teaching autonomy of different individualvariables, and the influencing factors of it. Analysis of the data that use statistical softwareSpss15.0 to do descriptive analysis, independent sample T-tests analysis, and single-factoranalysis of variance get the following conclusions:1. College PE teacher's teaching autonomy is the expression of interests of society and students,interests of College PE teacher's teaching input power source, and a precondition to sportsknowledge as well as an ethical, and moral benchmark in order to effectively monitor themanagement of physical education and institute checks and balances of physical educationteachers. Teaching and education-related activities state that beliefs and opinions, and freedomfrom interference of others are the power to make independent decisions. This is including theindividual level and group level of teaching autonomy these two dimensions.2. Realization degree of autonomy PE teachers'Teaching as a whole is at a general level incolleges. The teaching autonomy of colleges'PE teachers in a group dimension is nonexistent,indicating that PE teachers have low degree of participating in educational reform, curriculum development and teaching management.3. In the background of different gender, age, title, position, years of teaching, etc, these personalvariables,exist significant differences in the degree of autonomy achievement of physicaleducation teachers, indicating that there are the characteristics of layered empowerment to acertain extent.4. Affecting factors of the teaching autonomy realization of PE teachers in colleges are includingteachers'individual factors and institutional factors, management concepts and cultural factors,such external factors as which generally performing that colleges'school running autonomy isgradually expanding. Upper management of colleges are lacking in effective supervision, andpaying less attention to physical teaching. College sports management concepts, physicaleducation teacher professional identity, professional development expectation leads to the lack ofan overall self–autonomy.To protect the teaching autonomy of PE teachers in colleges, functional departments shouldimprove monitoring oversight,and strengthen the university management system so that they canpromote the responsibility of students'sense about the healthy development on physicaleducation. Strengthening democratic governance, improving the teacher evaluation system, andestablishing an effective incentive mechanism upgrade the teacher self-awareness of rightsprotection.
