The Study On Democracy Of Chinese Characteristic Urban Community

Since reform and opening, the actual social situation of the city has undergone a tremendous change, while compared with which, management system reform in urban society is relatively slow, the original urban management system, operation method, management team and service facilities have been unable to meet the social changes during the transition period. With the economic system reform, the rapid development of market economy, the disintegration of the system units and the carrying out of community democratic construction, gradual decline of collectivity, the status and function of our urban community are increasingly prominent. However, the reality of democracy building in urban communities in China is not optimistic, democracy-building skills are lagging and problematic. Therefore, strengthening the building of democracy in urban communities in China is particularly important. That's where the present study intends to start on.This study is based on the framework of Chinese characteristics. The author tentatively does a comprehensive research on community democracy ---a new thing. The thesis is divided into five sections to explore the democracy development in urban communities. The first part is literature review, mainly describes purpose and significance of the topic, literature review at home and abroad, research methods, research importance and difficulties. In the second part, the relevant concepts of urban communities democracy and its development process are explained,, which indicates that the role and significance of democracy in urban communities depend on the communicating between state and society, reforming the ways of social governance, integrating the changing society and innovating the practical form of the people's democratic transformation, which are basis of developing socialist democracy politics. In the third part, the author summarized the conditions and models of developing community democracy. The author suggested that in the process of developing urban community democracy, we must enhance the level of democratic participation of the masses, self-involved participation, rational participation, orderly participation, broadening participation. The fourth part mainly analyzes the problems and reasons existing in the development of urban city in our country at present. The author points out the phenomena of the excessive administrative intervention, the weak consciousness of democracy sense,, the lagging of inner-party democracy system, and the incompleteness of laws and regulations and so on, and analyzes the grounded causes of these phenomena. Based on the fourth part, in the fifth part, combining with the actual situation of urban community democracy in our country, the author gives some suggestions to solve the problems.
