From the standards of course to the preparation of teaching materials are permeated with the idea of inquiry learning. My study from the perspective of the inquiry learning to study on the middle school geography textbooks, to analyze the selection and arrangement of content of textbooks how to facilitate students'the implementation of geographic inquiry learning. Through literature, to definite the meaning of inquiry learning, understand the study status of geographic inquiry learning and the penetration of the status quo geographic inquiry learning in geography textbooks at home and abroad. Overall this is a total - sub-structure.First of all, respectively, from the structure of materials on the presentation and organizations of content to analyze inquiry learning reflected in the United Kingdom the junior middle school geography textbooks.Secondly, analyze inquiry characteristics of from the part of physical geography, the part of human geography and the part of regional geography. Such as natural geographic part of the textbook focus on the basic principles of physical geography, the basic law and basic process of inquiry. Human geography guide students some attention to multi-angle, multi-level analysis of human geography problem. Regional geography emphasis on encourage the student to grasp the understanding of the process in the region to explore the general procedure.Finally, on the basis of the study concluded.
