Global experience shows that inquiry-based learning is a breakthrough to change students' learning methods and cultivate students' comprehensive abilities.In British and American high schools,the development of inquiry-based learning has been relatively developed.Inquiry-based learning as a learning method has been integrated into subject teaching.Students construct knowledge in the process of independent inquiry and enhance their understanding of knowledge.American high schools also provide independent study opportunities for some students.British high schools cultivate students' research capacity by setting up extend project qualification,develop the ability to acquire and use information,use knowledge and skills to solve problems,use multimedia technology to demonstrate results,and communication skills.In Singapore,the 21 st Century Competencies is integrated into the national curriculum.They cultivate students' competencies through inquiry-based learning in subjects.Set up project work in primary and secondary schools to allow students to experience the acquisition of knowledge from different learning areas,applying it into real life and solving real problems.Helping students gain skills such as collaboration,communication and independent learning.Preparing for lifelong learning and coping with future challenges.In the United States,the United Kingdom,and Singapore,teachers provide guidance and assistance to students in all stages of inquiry-based learning process,cultivate students' research awareness and capabilities gradually.They formulate rules and regulations to manage and supervise the inquiry-based learning process.The education department has also formulated a scientific evaluation system for inquiry-based learning,paying attention to the process of students' inquirybased learning and the development of students' cognition,emotion,skills.They also use various evaluation materials to evaluate students' performance.The marks of inquiry-based learning are associated with students' graduation and university entrance examinations.In addition,high schools actively cooperate with organization,universities,and research institutions to provide students with more diverse inquirybased learning opportunities.Although our country has regulated that inquiry-based learning was compulsory curriculum in high schools.However,due to the influence of traditional teaching methods and gaokao,inquiry-based learning has not been effectively carried out in high schools.There is also a lack of scientific management and normative requirements in the inquiry-based learning process,a completely inquiry-based learning evaluation system has not been established,and the inquiry-based learning curriculum resources have not been effectively developed.Therefore,we need to learn from foreign experiences,such as combining inquiry-based learning with core competencies,paying equally attention to knowledge and ability to formulate training objectives.Integrating inquiry-based learning into academic education.Developing interdisciplinary inquirybased learning.Teachers should provide guidence to students' research learning process,cultivate students' research awareness and research ability gradually.Establishing inquiry-based learning implementation standards to manage inquiry-based learning process scientifically.Establishing the inquiry-based learning evaluation system,evaluate students' performance scientifically.Strengthening the participation of multiple forces,provide students with more inquiry-based learning opportunities.
