This paper describes the background and significance of this research, as well as the related theories. Then combined with the example of the classroom teaching practice, from angle of improving student's independent learning ability during Information Technology course instruction, it describes separately the environment and the support conditions, which are required for self-study learning. What's more, it also verifies four effective main areas with examples to explain how to create a learning environment, what kind of learning materials and how the methods we use to help students learning independently.Finally, a specific detailed example of classroom teaching is used to describe how to instruct students with the practice of independent learning. Through feedback from students and teachers'reflection, as well as the process of the re-edition and re-implementation of independent study related design, we have confirmed the positive significance of this research.In this paper, it adopts the combination of practice and theory in order to discuss how to cultivate the students'autonomous learning spirit and how to improve the independent learning ability during the Information Technology course instructions.
