Study On The Endowment Problems Of The Old People Remaining In Rural

Since the beginning of the reform and opening to the world, for the rapid development of urbanization and industrial modernization, the demand for labor is increasing in china's city. But China's income gap between urban and rural areas is widening for the slow development of agriculture and the relative backwardness. On the other hand, a lot of younger are moving to the city because they want to get better opportunities of learning or employment or living. All of these have led to the phenomenon that many old people were left in rural. For the slowly developing of the rural economic, the reduction of income in farm and the backwardness of the social security system, many questions about the old people remaining in rural have appeared, for example how to live when their children is living very far. This question has been concerned widely by the society. The appearance of this question have many reasons, for example the farmer's backward knowledge, the backward agricultural production,the high production cost, the developing social security mechanism. This question have relationship with the agriculture development and the social stability in rural areas, if it can't be resolved as soon as possible,it will affect the agricultural development and safety and the construction of the new countryside. So resolving the pension of this special group is very important to protect their interests, to reassure their children working in city, to stable the social order, and to make sure that the urbanization and industrialization can be realized. Before writing, I have read some paper about it. Then I did some research to analyse the question in it trying to get the reason and solution.Through the research, I have found that the question about the old people remaining in rural refers to several aspects that's economic support, life care, health care and spiritual comfort. The reason about it refers to these aspects:the poverty, the rising number of old population, urbanization, the weakening protective function of land, the rural social security system, government responsibility, the traditional culture and so on. According to these question, I think these methods can be taken:developing social endowment and community endowment, establish and improve the social security system, improve the rural medical system, promote the traditional culture about "xiao", improve the construction of the legal system, developing the local economy to improve the economic level and so on. I hope this research can do some help for the solving of the question.
