| Nowadays, Junior Students are the resource of national construction and flourish. If they have a sense of social responsibility, they will take part in national construction and make contribution. For the cultivation in the sense of social responsibility, schools play an indispensable part, not only to build our country, but also to elevate students' development. In a word, schools shoulder main responsibilities for the cultivation in the sense of social responsibility.This thesis explored the cultivation in the sense of social responsibility in junior high schools, using Wenhui Middle School in Shenzhen as an example. Though the mainstream is healthy and positive, some students seem to be weak in the sense of social responsibility. It is caused by many reasons and represents like that junior students will take self-centered orientation when facing with several choices. When individualism is invaded, they choose to protect their own benefits first, They work hard only when they can gain something. They generally care about what others do before taking action. The majority of them can not have a sense of social responsibility or supervise those who fall behind. Many students don't study hard, they always ask their parents for something, but never share any housework. So it can not be said that the junior students completely have a strong sense of social responsibility. The reasons come from the society, families and the students themselves as well. What's more, there are problems of schools, mainly in, firstly, schools don't really pay attention to the cultivation of social responsibility; secondly, both the way of teaching and the content are dull, it is not good for the students to learn something; thirdly, score is the only way to evaluate students, which makes the students dare not express their own thoughts; fourthly, extra-curricular courses play little part in educating students in schools; fifthly, some teachers are lack of the high sense of social responsibility, students can't get implicit education from them. For the reasons, the author proposes a specific strategy:schools should pay high attention to the cultivation of social responsibility. The ways of teaching should be varietied, and the content should be practical. Extra-curricular courses should be an important element. Schools should improve the professionalism and enthusiasm teachers. |
