| Only when we have grasped the culture included in the language can we really understand the language in question, for learning a language is learning a culture. Language is the most important tool of communication, which is vital to promote the all-round development of students. The process to learn the second language is also the process to acquire the culture. This study on the cultural nature of English courses design in Chinese senior high school is to analyze our senior high school English course objective, teaching content, course teaching and course evaluation respectively.Firstly, we put forward the research background; expound the definition of " course design", "culture", "cultural teaching", etc. To carefully marshal the related study on the "course design of existing research", "senior high school English course research" at home and abroad.Secondly, we interpret the cultural nature of English course, introduce several models to realize the English course's cultural narure;analyse six elements which the culture influence English course design. English curriculum design should transcend the knowledge level. In order to fully understand the culture, more attention should be paid to cultural consciousness training.Last but not the least, with"course objective","course content","course teaching", "course evaluation" as the breakthrough point, we offer the analysis on the senior high school English curriculum design in our country at present, and make the corresponding reviews. The learners can cross national boundaries, find the latest knowledge needed and increase the understanding of the national cultural value.In short, based on the problems found in English teaching practice, this research analyze our senior high school English curriculum design from cultural angle, and offer preliminary thinking to strengthen our high school English curriculum design's cultural nature so as to raise our high school's English teaching quality and enhance the learners' cultural quality in an effective way. |
