This research aims to developing the situation of 2 series of geometry textbooks in middle school. And the textbooks are published by Shanghai Education Publishing and People Education Publishing.Firstly, this research developed a principle which is based on the four standards to evaluate the 2 series of geometry textbooks and van Helie theory thought content analysis. The four standards are NCTM standard, mathematics of standard in England, full-time compulsory education mathematics curriculum standard, mathematics standards for primary school and middle school in Shanghai. After this evaluation, this research demonstrated some conclusions with is based on the evaluation.This research has the following conclusion:1.Both the two series of textbooks are in accordance with van Helie theory.2.The content of the two series of textbooks are similar with each other in a large scale.3.The textbook of Shanghai Education Publishing is more systematic than that of People Education Publishing with the consideration of van Helie theory.4.The textbook of Shanghai Education Publishing is more systematic than that of People Education Publishing has different characteristics in grades.5.The two series of textbooks are arranged in similar viewspoints.
