In 1999, the National Education Department launched the eighth curriculum reform of the elementary education. From then on, the subject of Science has been set up in primary and secondary education. In this background, the major of Science Education came into existence. This thesis will focus on the emerging Science Education major and discusses the status quo of its experimental curriculum system. The purpose of the thesis is to explore the reform direction of experimental curriculum system of Science Education major, trying to facilitate the achievement of the cultivation objectives of Science Education major.First of all, read a great number of related domestic and foreign resources on the establishment and development of Science Education major. After being familiar with the development of the major, conduct a survey and interview. The intention is to find the problems of the current experimental curriculum system of Science Education, and to propose some suggestions for its reform. And finally to conduct related experimental curriculum system reform based on the research results.This thesis is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction, mainly discussing the research background of this project, its implications and approach.The second chapter deals with the theoretical foundation for the construction of experimental curriculum system of Science Education major. This chapter tries to find the theoretical foundation for the creation of experimental curriculum system from the analysis of methodology, system theory and new humanism thoughts.The third chapter analyses the research results and status quo of the teaching of experimental curriculum in Science Education major. It is a statistical analysis of the research results and the interview from the aspects of curriculum structure, experimental teaching and its appraisal, and the construction of the curriculum system. The purpose is to provide a reliable database for the reform of the experimental curriculum system.The fourth chapter focuses on the construction of experimental curriculum system of Science Education major. It elaborates the concept of the construction of experimental curriculum system and the direction of its reform from several perspectives. For instance, it involves the choice of the content of the experiment, the setting up of experimental curriculum, the formation of experimental curriculum cluster and the choices for the core subjects of the system. The whole experimental curriculum system is transforming from layer- structure to net-structure. It is changing into a divergent and comprehensive net curriculum structure that is based on the core course of'scientific experimental teaching and learning theory', the main skeleton of which is life science, physics and chemistry.The fifth chapter is the proposal on the implementation of experimental curriculum system. It argues how to actually carry out the experimental curriculum system. It expounds the adjustment and construction of different respects ranging from'software'to'hardware', including time, teachers, teaching materials and laboratory construction.The sixth chapter is the reflection and advice on the experimental teaching. The intended results can only be achieved if the experimental curriculum system coordinates with experimental teaching effectively.  Therefore, the end of the thesis is the proposal of experimental teaching concept that is in line with the experimental curriculum system.
