Study On The Relationship Between Tolerance Of Ambiguity And College Students' Creativity

College students make a great effect on the future of the States and are also important labor resources to quantities of the industry. Society achievement and national progress are determined by the students'creativity. People who tolerate ambiguity are creative.College Students in Guangdong and Hunan province were tested in this investigation. Through main methods such like document analysis, interview, and questionnaire investigation, the tolerance of ambiguity was studied. By exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, variance analysis, and SEM, this thesis discussed the structure of tolerance of ambiguity, and the relation between it and creativity. Five conclusions in this research are following:(1)For college students, tolerance of ambiguity is comprised of four dimensions: curiosity, mental flexibility, desire for differences. This collusion share both similarity and disparity to former ones.(2)Tolerance of ambiguity Scale has satisfactory split-half reliability, homogeneity reliability, content validity, construct validity and also criterion-related validity, which meets the demand of psychometrics.(3)Tolerance of ambiguity could be a acceptable predictor for creativity.(4)Creative efficacy and creative style preference have partial mediate effect on students'creativity. Creative Classroom Climate has moderated effect on students' creativity.㏒ignificant differences of ambiguity tolerance were found on the students with different sex, majors, and languages. However, there were no significant differences in ambiguity tolerance for those students from different colleges.
