A Study On The "Ant Tribe" Phenomeno Based On Career Management Theory

The appearance of"ant tribe"(low-income college graduates who settle in a compact community) once brought great affect to the society especially to the media. As a result, the academia pays the earnest attention to this tribe. Researches on this particular tribe grows day by day, however, there are few researches from the view on their own career management. The author intends to integrates career management theories to the"ant tribe", discuss the causes of present life of"the ant tribe", attempt to do relevance research on career management and the"ant tribe", analysis the situation and rationality of their self-cognition on career management. Try to give some suggestions on dealing with the"ant tribe"problem on the basis of career management.The paper bases on Super's career management theory and Edgar's Career anchor theory, integrates the overseas"young workers"phnomene, using depth interview and comparative study method. In this study, the author takes 8"ant tribe"members from Beijing and 4 members who are not belongs to the"ant tribe"as the depth interview object. Do comparative research on overseas"young workers"and domestic"ant tribe", and try to analysis the inner reason of"the ant tribe"problem in their high scholl period, college period, and working period by career management related theory. At last, give some suggestions in promoting the"ant tribe"life situation under the view of theory and practice. Literature and interviews on the basis of careful analysis, the paper concluded:(1)The"ant tribe"is an intenational youth phenomenon which is a particular youth in a phased dewelopment period of a society. It is not only in our country but also in some other countries.(2)The inner reasons on present life situation of"ant tribe"are deep, the lack and misunderstanding of career management is one of the reasons that cause their present life.(3) It is helpful of the"ant tribe"to set the right career values, manage their career, choose the rational path, and get out the toubles of living by the using of career management.
