| The 21st century is the era of knowledge driven economy.Knowledge workers play an extremely important role in society and shoulder the mission of enterprise development and social progress.At the same time,knowledge workers' survival and career development have become the focus of society attention.Young knowledge workers are the new impetus for social development.However,the living conditions of such groups in enterprises also face severe test.Based on the Marxist tradition of labor sociology,this essay tried to find out how the production polity in the knowledge export enterprise is shaped and how the particularity of the young knowledge worker as the subject of labor form.Then we explain the causes of career dilemmas.First of all,based on the background of the existence and development of knowledge workers,we expound the significance of research.And then we define the definition of relevant concepts,including the definition of career dilemmas and labor living dilemma.This paper summarizes the literature of the relative research,to form the theoretical basis of this research,and brings out the research object of this paper.The main method of this study is to participate in the observation and non-structure and semi-structured interview.After a long and thorough investigation,we explore the young knowledge workers existing living conditions and predicament in W education consultant institution in W City.Through thorough investigation,interview and observation,we found out the reason why those knowledge workers in this education institution are facing career dilemmas is that they have three particularities.First,they have high expectation to repay.Second,they lack the disposable social resources.Last the high cost of reproduction.It is precisely because those particularities are found and used by profit-making capitalists that this group is in dominated position in the process of production.So lots of problems arise,such as salary and welfare benefits are not fair,career promotion and development space is not clear,career development lacks continuity,labor time is too long and irregular,whether leave the job or not and so on.Because of these problems,those workers are in the dilemma of career development.Research result shows that although youth knowledge workers are in a relatively free labor market,in fact in this particular field of knowledge export enterprises,it is precisely because of this characteristic that they are in a dilemma in the process of competing for the control of labor process.So what should those young knowledge workers do first is to improve their professional quality,get rid of the trap of institutional hegemony of capital setting,and gain a higher voice in the struggle for the control of labor process. |
