Classical literary works occupy a proportion of the Chinese teaching material. As for long time, Chinese reading instruction do not especially emphasize the importance of the classics reading, or put forward special teaching method. In that way, how should we look at and develop the classics reading? The thesis consists of three parts to put forward my suggestions and proposals.Chapter 1 includes the topics and my point of views. I feel the importance of reading to people from different countries through the introducing the 'World Reading Day', and to analyze the current status of Chinese people. Although we encourage our people to read, but the situation seems not very optimistic for some reasons, even high school students are not interested in classical literary. The reform of the new curriculum has a higher requirement of the accomplishment of Chinese and goals, to achieve the target of inheritance traditional culture, and build up students'characters. Therefore, we must pay attention to Chinese reading education, especially the study of classic literary, to awake the passion of students and to change the current status of reading and to promote the humanity.Chapter 2 talks about concept of classical literary and its position in Chinese teaching. First, define the concept of classical literary, explained by the dictionaries, the definition of the ancient classic and modern classic and finally the description of the characteristics of classic literary. Thus, the definition obtained those selected from the ancient and modern cultures, outstanding literary books from all nations or enduring, authority, playing a model role and leading the development in society. Second, to analyze the significance of reading classic literary by emphasize the traditional culture, enhance self-awareness, build spiritual home and to change the environment of society. Finally, to compare with Chinese teaching practice in foreign countries. Our country often failed to achieve the target although the targets are similar in every country. Reasons can be by preparation of teaching materials. In foreign countries, divisions separated the literary education and language education. Instead, our country never adjusts the structure since the failure in 1956. Our country is more focus on the results, make students lack of motivationï¼›and there is a big different of classical literary between our country and foreign countries. Education in foreign countries spend lots of time and energy to make students clearly and comprehended understand the literaryï¼›while education in our country is fuzzy, there is no difference with other reading materials, even cause the repugnance.Chapter 3 is about the teaching practice of classical literary. The chapter try to explore the reading practice of classical literary at the teaching practice angle, and combine with the concrete teaching material and the teaching process. Reading the classical literary work, a matter of critical importance is to determine the teaching content. Unearthing the connotation of classical literary deeply, so we should choose the authoritative reading to grasp the classic's content about the teaching content, Unearthing the graphic representation to grip classic's unique charm, Forming literary history outlook to affect the varied culture's charm. In addition to the teaching method, through developing the expectant viewing field and reading learn, make the students really enter the text, realize its content, and finally get out of the text, put forward independent opinion rationally, even the criticism. The last, rationally applying the evaluation method could impel us to develop the classical literary reading effectively.
