Resource Dependence Theory's Perspective Of The Branches Of Local Social Groups' Development Strategy In China

In the process of professionalization of social work, social groups of social work play an important role which has demonstrated by international and overseas experiences. With the rapid development of social work, social groups of social work is a vital force for development of social work. The author concerns that social groups of social work which conditions they are in, what resources mainly they rely on, what kind of operation mode they take. What the major difficulties they encountered and what kind of survival strategy they adopt, is also what the author concerns. The'SW'Associations is a nationwide core organization and represents the national professional social work groups and social workers which is through the Registration Authority of social groups and directly headed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The function of the'SW'Association relies on its subordinates. The Branches affect the development of the overall development of the'SW'Association. In this paper, the author takes a branch of the'SW'Association (Hereinafter referred to as the'P'branch) as a study, using case study method, through the "thick description", in order to reflect the development of social work status of social groups and survival Strategy.It is found that the'P'branch: the lack of teachers, mainly to the external; hard to survive, to carry out short-term training; unable to provide the training invoice, to issue a third party such as survival strategies. The edge of the current situation in the community instead is a rational choice, which constitutes the social groups' future development strategy and logic in China. Based on the research, this paper tries to make some suggestions to promote the development of the'SW'Association and provides a reference to social work groups.
