Period of late Qing dynasty and the Republic of China, a large number of people in Fujian and Guangdong area "went to Southeast Asia "to make a living. According to Liu Bozhou`s Introduction to the History of Overseas Chinese Affairs, there were more than 7.8 million overseas Chinese in 1934, 6.1 million of them lived in Southeast Asia, seventy-nine percent of the total. Nanyang Overseas Chinese formed a social group that cannot be ignored, Nanyang Overseas Chinese school education has wide representation, According to Chen guohua`s the Footprints of the Pioneers: 300 years of overseas Chinese education ,In 1935, Nanyang Overseas Chinese school account for more than 90% of the total number around the world. The period of Nanjing national government, the number of students in Nanyang Overseas Chinese schools reached the peak. The education of overseas Chinese Children was related to recognition of the Government. Two Governments (Nanjing National Government and Nanyang Overseas Chinese Resident Government) competed for the right of overseas Chinese education and took an active part in management and supervision of overseas Chinese schools. This article analyses how two Governments developed the regulatons and management measures for Nanyang Overseas Chinese schools.It discusses the development of Nanyang Overseas Chinese school education in a difficult situation.I hope this article will provide some experience for today's overseas Chinese education.
