To day, education had developed from close type to diversification and open architecture. It gives emphasis on open study, setting up teacher and infants interact. So infant's autonomous learning ability is crucial. It is one of the key factors that the cognition and direction by teachers to infants autonomous learning. Therefore, the status survey on the cognition and direction to infants autonomous learning by teachers is very important to improve the teacher's cognition and direction ability and meet the normal demand of infants autonomous learning.The questionnaire and interview on the kindergarten teacher in Beijing had been used for this survey. The cognition survey included the following facotors: the kindergarten teacher's concept, possibility, characteristic and influence factors of on autonomous learning, The behavior survey mainly include the following aspect:the guide strategy to infants autonomous learning, discussion and recommendation on the relevant issue.Research result showed that:1. Most teachers become acquainted with the conception on infant autonomous learning.2. Most teachers doesn't think infant autonomous learning as well as he was born.3. Most teachers think the characteristic of infant autonomous learning are independence, initiative and selectivity.4. Most teachers realize that it was important factors to the infant autonomous learning that infant own condition, teacher's own condition and family's condition.5. It should be adjusted and improved that the guide strategy to life, game and educational activity of infants autonomous learning.6. Most teachers educational ability is not high for infant's autonomous learning, which should be improved.7. Teachers hope they can have the opportunity to further study and improve the guide level to the infants autonomous learning.There were some suggestions on the survey result and relevant issues:1. The teacher's concept and behavior should be transformed.2. The guide strategy to infant autonomous learning should be transformed.3. The study method should be emphasized.4. The teacher's guide ability to infant autonomous learning should be improved by kindergarten training.
