On The Primacy Of Moral Education In The Universities' Talent Training

The higher education takes charge of the task of training more competent men for the socialist construction at the time when people all over the China are pulling together to devote an effort to the building of a harmonious society. With the fast development of economic globalization and the impact of the new technical revolution, the moral education in the universities is in face of new opportunity and challenge. The change of social order, the overthrow of the traditional ideas together with the integration of plural values are demanding a proper construction of existing system of moral education. The "people-oriented" scientific concept of development, described by the Third Plenary Session of the Party's Sixteenth Central Committee and the Seventeenth Congress, is instructive in the construction of moral education in universities as its starting point and standpoint. And the cultivation of the talents of comprehensive, balanced and sustainable development requires an innovation of the ideas, the target, the content, the mode as well as the way of moral education.
