Four Books' Moral Thought And The Reference Significance On University Students' Moral Cultivation

The Chinese people are rich in ideology and ethics with a long history,in which the moral education of the Four Books is in a critical position.Four Books are as the classic books of Pre-Qin Dynasty,which is the Analects of Confucius,the Great Learning,the Doctrine of the Mean,and Mencius play an important role in the progress of cultivating the national cultural and spirit as well as ideology and ethics.In the modern society with moral degeneration and excessive materialism,the Four Books is still full with vitality.Based on reading repeatedly and the acknowledgment of the practical moral ideology situation of the college students,this paper which analysis and summarize the ideology of moral education in the Four Books by data studies and induction method,research the meanings of the ideology and ethics in the Four Books as a template for moral ideology and ethics.The three parts of this paper are the introduction,the body and the conclusion.The introduction part introduces the meaning and purpose of the topic,the status and object of the related research,the ideas and methods of this paper as well as the innovations points in this paper.The body proves the topic from four points.The first part analyzes the main ideas and characteristics of moral thought in the Four Books,and discusses the moral ideology in the Four Books from the real objectives and the highest goals.In the second part,the moral ideology in the Four Books is analyzed and summarized form kindness,justice,courtesy,loyalty and forgiveness and honesty.The third part analyzes the basic method of the moral education in the Four Books which consists determinedness,cautiousness,erudition,execution and so on.The fourth part discusses the significance of the Four Books on cultivating the moral ethics for university students.Based on the characteristic and practical situation of the university student's moral cultivation,this part also discusses the significance of the main objectives,basic idea,and basic method in the Four Books on cultivating the moral ethics for university students previous.The conclusion of this paper discusses the real value and limitations of the moral thought in the Four Books and proposes the university to implement the "perfect Chinese traditional culture education Guidance Outline" issued by the Ministry of Education and strengthen the research and illumination of the valuable moral thoughts in the Four Books to make it develop towards reality and globalization for a larger contribution for the development of university students' moral thought and the prosperity of our society.
