The Floating Children's Self-awareness In Shanghai And The Enlightenment To Social Work

Along with the social mobility in china, the number of floating children growing more and more. Meanwhile, they were in the socialization, which is the most important stage of their life span. They were faced many challenges both from their selves and environment. Thus our government and society gradually focus on the floating children's healthy development and social integration.So this paper selected the floating children in Shanghai for study, used qualitative research methods, depth described the status of the floating children and their family, and thorough analyzed their self-awareness. It found that many facts, such as family, school, social society, influenced the floating children's self-awareness. We also found that although their self-awareness had positive significance, but faced some problems, such as unbalanced in self-perception, negative in ego experience and insufficient in self-regulation ability. In order to provide better service and management on the floating children in shanghai, we also discussed the strategy of intervention on them by social work.
