Girls school was a main channel of a girl received formal schooling, was a logo of Women and men equal access to school education. From the mid-20th century, Coeducational become a mainstream school education. But many countries have retained some of the men and women of Campus. Girl's School become an important part of girls schools. Before liberation, China's mainland had reached more than 500 girls schools. Currently, only about 10 girl's schools in China's mainland. Compared with developed countries, a small number, girl's schools in China's mainland also faces many difficulties. Mixed society views, standardized educational assessment system, unified educational policy restricts the development of girl's schools.Girl's schools in China's mainland under adverse conditions, efforts to uphold their vision " gender education ". Girl's school managers adherence to the principle of "shelving disputes and practice-oriented ", inherit the traditional culture of girls schools. In school management, school culture, curriculum and other aspects of building characteristics of Girl's school. Girl's schools in China's mainland get the widely recognition from graduates,and the parents of the girls.Girls school is a product of social and historical development, In the improving status of women today, Girl's schools adapted to meet the female on quality education for their own needs, adapted to meet the training requirements of the development of modern society's new social needs of women, adapted to meet characteristics of the women's education of some parents.This paper briefly reviews the history of the development of domestic and international Girl's schools. The Shanghai NO.3 Middle school, as a case, analysis of the current mainland Girl's school characteristics and the process of running the main problems. A reasonable analysis of phenomenon that Girl's schools exist and continue to the birth of a new one and close. Further development for the Girl's school, Girls High School should be made of modern educational goals, curriculum development, teaching methods, teaching staff and so take the road of development characteristics, proposed specific development strategies from the above aspects.
