This thesis mainly deals with the application of the analogical thinking in chemistry teaching. It can be divided into the research background, research meaning and main content. In this thesis, a summary is made about the definition and clarification of analogy, the psychological background of analogical thinking, the studies on analogical thinking at home and abroad and its effects on scientific development. The analogical thinking can be well applied in chemistry teaching, for example, the teaching of definitions, theories of chemical reactions, the structures and qualities of substances, chemical experiments, organic chemistry, and stoichiometric calculation. Most focus is placed on the teaching methods. These methods, such as applying the visual phenomenon, the macro phenomenon, models, the existing knowledge and the knowledge about other subjects to make analogies, are listed, which are followed by analysis of some important things that call for attention while applying analogical thinking in chemistry teaching.
