National Spirit Education Research Under The Background Of Multi-culture

National spirit is a spiritual pillar for the survival and development of a nation, like a patron saint. In the long history of development, the Chinese nation has formed a patriotism-cored national spirit of unity, independence, peace-loving and self-improvement. Nowadays, there has appeared a trend of multi-culture all around the globe. Under such a multi-cultural environment, some factors from the western world, such as extreme individualism, money worship, utilitarian and so on, can mislead people's economic, political, and cultural behaviors, which causes some degree of damage in national cohesion and results in the loss of the Chinese national spirit and the desalinization of national consciousness.In a multi-cultural environment, we try to understand the current state of national spirit and public understanding of national spirit in China through search and analysis. The multi-cultural trend brings not only opportunities but also challenges to national spirit education, so it is of high significance to strengthen national spirit education, which favors the construction of advanced culture and helps to resist western cultural infiltration and safeguard national cultural safety. In the context of multi-cultural environment, in order to strengthen national spirit education, we must uphold the principles of unity of inheritance and innovation, diversity and one dominating element and co-existence of multielement, strengthen national consciousness and cultural identity education, choose appropriate culture carriers and cultural resources and improve national spirit system.
