The theory of Possible World, which is the basis of investigating modal logic and investigation logic, is worth studying, however, few masterpieces about investigation logic comes out, the study of investigative hypothesis with the theory of possible world is fewer. In this article, the author writes in different ways to analyze the investigation logic from the theory of possible world and modal logic. What the author hopes is to deepen the theoretical foundation of investigation logic. The theory of possible world is a valuable tool to study logic of natural language. It expands the base of reality, finds a proper existence world for the meaning and extension of words and sentences. People creates vocabularies and sentences, and figures out those meaning in relative possible worlds, judges the truth or not at last. Investigative hypothesis needs the theory of possible world which guides directions of investigative hypothesis in return in real practice. The author generalizes the theoretical base of investigation logic to the principle of self-contradict and sufficient reason, which is a new innovation to Leibnitz Theory. Leibnitz holds that the theory of possible world is based on above two principles. When the author starts to project the foundation of investigation logic, the theory of possible world flashes in her mind; the theory of possible world could be utilized to refer the investigation logic also. The principle of self-contradict requires none contradiction appears in the investigation thinking, what means contradiction should not be showed in any process through investigative activity. The principle of sufficient reason requires abundant accordance and reasons when setting up a new investigative hypothesis. There should have plenty reasons to explain the reasoning process from mastered data to unknown cause. The paper is divided to following three parts:The first part is"what is possible world". The author introduces various points in domestic and overseas. They are Leibnitz, Saul Kripke, and David Lewes. The author depicts the characteristic of possible worlds, then analyzes the conception of"possible world"from its utilization, contends and its value, tries to interpret elaborately. The second part is"possible world and real world". In this part, the author intends to explain why the theory of possible world is useful in reality, for instance, to the improvement of logic of natural language and its policy-making in practice. The third part is"possible world and investigation logic". This part talks about the theory using in investigations form investigative hypothesis to experiment. In the part of investigative hypothesis, the author builds up the logical foundation of hypothesis, analyzes the characteristic of hypothesis with computed mode of possible world, and tries to interpret formally in the way of possibility to necessity. In the part of investigative experiment, the author talks about one way of computed mode in"possible world"theory, which is"imitation", and theoretically discusses the value of above"imitation"to experiment in investigation practice. The paper is mainly written in various angles from philosophy, logic and semantics.
