"Seeking sameness but keeping difference"was raised by Premier Zhou Enlai In April 1955 the Asia-Africa Conference, in order to seek the unity and cooperation among countries of Asia and Africa ,promote a diplomatic criterion which between Asia and Africa various countries the mutual understanding. For more than 50 years China diplomacy and international relations' practice indicated that"seeking sameness but keeping difference"was the same that the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence which earlier Chinese, Myanmar and India leaders advocaced , as was the different social system, the different level of development, the different ideology and historical, the cultural tradition national competition coexistence, and the important guarantee for world peace. The Thought of"seeking sameness but keeping difference"plays the unreplaceable role to China's diplomatic enterprise and is a Chinese diplomacy thought important component.This article from thinking of"seeking sameness but keeping difference"the background and the theory origin, author thinks that the diplomatic thought of"seeking sameness but keeping difference"is the need to deal with for peace diplomacy and diplomatic relations between the Asian and African countries .Asia-Africa Conference was held for the"seeking sameness but keeping difference"providing an opportunity; the thought of"seeking sameness but keeping difference"origins in China traditional culture and it is dialectical materialism thought manifestation.This article has discussed the rich content of the thought of"seeking sameness but keeping difference".
