Research On Constructing Police Activity-Centered Training Pattern

Police training in our country has trained numbers of police in over fifty years, which has gained great achievements. As the international and domestic situation and public security situation develop in 21^st century, higher and stricter requirements are placed on police. In "Decision on Strengthening and Improving Public Security Work by Central Committee of China Communist Party", it puts emphasize on strengthening training work, reforming training pattern, improving training methods and setting up training system suitable for actual combat. Therefore, how to train police law enforcement ability is an important research under new situation. The research on constructing police activity-centered training pattern is put forward under the background. It aims at combining theory with practice, that is, learning basic theories in police activities and changing theory into actual working ability.This research paper is divided into five chapters. Chapter one lays the foundation of the research by illustrating the reason, aim, signification and current situation of the research and making a definition of pattern, training pattern and police activity. Chapter two analyses current police training from the aspects of development course and the existing problems. Chapter three generalizes the instructors, training content and teaching methods of foreign police training, from which three pieces of enlightenment derive. Chapter four comprises the four basic features of police activity-centered training pattern—practicality, independence, directness and interact. It also provides theoretical foundation for constructing police activity-centered training pattern. Chapter five discusses how to construct police activity-centered training pattern from aspects of its important elements, guiding ideology, main links and evaluation mechanism.
