The Legislation Study On Dongting Lake Wetland Environment Protection

Dongting Lake is Chinese and even the global important wetland and the migratory bird protection zone. Dongting Lake is playing a very important role in regulating flood runoff, protecting of biodiversity and rare species. But Dong Ting Lake wetlands is decreasing. Its environment is deteriorating increasingly, and the functions of regulation of climate, water quality improvement, protection of biodiversity are gradually weakened, even loss. It is an essential way to solve this problem by legislation and regulate men's behavior on exploiting, using, protecting and managing wetland resources by the form of laws and regulations.The paper analyzes the problems of Dongting Lake wetland ecological environment on the basis of the reality, introduces the advanced experiences abroad and analyzes the legislation of wetland about Dongting Lake and points out the problems etc. The paper makes some legislation suggestions to solve those problems. For example, our country should make out the Protecting Act of Dongting Lake Wetland, amend and prefect some relevant laws.
