The Study On Improving Our Government Public Relations Against Informatization

Government public relationships demonstrate the mutual relations between government and the mass in government administration. As a special public relationship, by means of various communication methods, it aims to establish a kind of mutual-understanding trustful and everlasting relationship, as well as gain the mass' support for the government, so that the administration efficiency and the society benefit would be improved. Since the 1980's, China's government public relationships have played an extremely important role in political field. With the rapid development of information technology and market economy system reform deepen, as a sort of special government function, the former government public relationships have not made full use of the information chance, or completely overcome itself obstacles, so government public relationships could hardly obtain nice practical effects. This problem has gradually arouses people's attention. Therefore the study how to advance government public relations efficiency and serving quality based on informatization environment feature and demand seems to be essential.With the basis of some others' studies about government public relations, this paper introduces the basic theories of informatization and government public relations;based on influence government public relations confront in informatization period,It discusses the role China's government public relations should be in informatization background.It makes analysis of practical situation of China's former government public relations: It includes the achievements it has got and also its difficulties. Taking USA, Japan, England and Singapore's experience as example, it points out their features about government public relations improvement with the help of information and technology, and makes a rough consideration of their experience transfer. At last, it provides some positive suggestions on the development of government public relations in the informatization background. This paper makes reference for development of present government public relations, and offers some practice significance to government management.
