The Study On The Public Power View Of Marx And Engels

Public power, is the main component of modern political life. Political stability affects social stability and economic development, and political stability must rely on the public power harmonious and reasonable, orderly, and efficient operation. The correct use of public power depends on the correct understanding of it.Research of public power issues is the grim task our party and government facing in the current social transition period.Befo re Marxism came into being, thinkers tended to get away from realistic social material foundation, with abstract, dialectical way to explore the question of power, in fact,they have failed to scientifically answer what is power and what is the nature of public power. Marx and Engels hold materialistic standpoint, critically inherited the former thoughts about public power, scientifically and objectively illustrated how the public power produced and what is the essence of it, and revealed the public power alienation, the origin, the essence of the return. Based on national view of Marx and Engels, this article mainly discusses about the connotations of the public power of Marx and Engels,from the perspective of historical change of public power thought. Marx and Engels eventually revealed the connotation and practical value of public powerTh is paper mainly can be divided into three parts. The first part discusses history origin and forming process of the public power thought of Marx and Engels. First, elaboration and introduction of ancient Greek philosophy, view of power of modern bourgeois classical liberalism and Hegel's philosophy of law authority view. Plato and Aristotle first started important thoughts from the Angle of human nature to discuss power source, they put power as a power to maintain value and justice. Classical liberalists attributed power origin to "social contract", and put forward extremely creative thoughts on the use of power, claiming power separation to prevent power alienation. Hegel brought about the dual separation of state and society for the first time, made the abstraction and mystification of power based on objective idealism, and hold that power was originated from "absolute spirit".In addition, summary of process of forming and developing of public power of Marx and Engels was presented. The second part, explication for connotation of public power of Marx and Engels from the changing process of the social and historical perspective of its origin, alienation and return.Marx and Engels hold that public power was derived from the needs to maintain public interests; the origin is a kind of social autonomy used to manage social order and serve the people;however, with the emergence of private ownership and class,the separation of the subject and object of the public power occurred, separation of owners and users of public power appeared,too. Therefore, public power was inherited with a new form----the form of political countries, to become the largest private power. With the process of the social history, and the disappearance of the political state, the public power will revert to its origin. The third part discusses theoretical significance of the public power thought of Marx and Engels, based on the current situation of our country, located in three levels:government, the ruling party, and the public,to discuss the practical value of public power of Marx and Engels for the construction of powe r in China.
