The United States claims is the world's most democratic and free country. In 1789, the United States by the Constitution clearly states:Congress shall make no-law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."The U.S. media rights to freedom of expression has long been considered to be the U.S. media watchdog the U.S. government's "fourth power". However, the U.S. Constitution does not specify the U.S. media and the government in the end what should be the kind of relationship, but does not require the government can not be a means to exert influence and control of the media.This will be how the U.S. government control of the media, using news media to influence public opinion, the main channel, means, methods start with specific reference to the White House set up by news organizations; the concrete implementation of the means and strategies, and from a series of case studies to prove that the U.S. government is how to control and influence the media, and through the analysis of the nature of the phenomenon --- the U.S. democracy is manipulated by a handful of elite or the rich, democracy, the U.S. media is also to some extent the agents of power.
