Competition for qualified personnel characterizes the age of knowledge economy. Human resources, the value of which has become the symbol of a venture's wholly competitive power, are the first in the competition and development. And the development and utilization of the resources grows urgent if the venture hopes to keep its ground and continue its prosperity in the economic globalization. So how to manage on the staff's performance effectively and scientifically and how to raise the staff's quality level are becoming the core of human resources management.In face of the growing competition and challenge, Guangzhou Metro Company shows its weakness in the performance management system. Performance management supervisor is the special position for managing the staff's performance, and the study of it has the realistic meaning for the venture to have a sustain development and to improve the human resources management.This article adopts the methods such as document study, on-the-spot investigation, interview, etc. The author brings out the discussion and its purpose as well as significance in the preface, and then introduce the theory of performance management and the relevant researches in chapter 2. Next, there's the analysis of the problems and their causes of the performance management system. This article places its emphasis on the ways to improve the performance management system, and make clear the orientation of assessment and build up the assess model by major-basic two elements study.By means of the study, this article gives the improvement reference for Guangzhou Metro Company's performance management so that it can make the best of this system to inspire staff, to keep stay its good personnel, and to continue its comparative advantages.
