As the Knowledge-Economic times come, Hi-tech enterprises are playing a more and more important role in a country's economy. The competition of companies in fact is the competition of human resources. The R&D employees are the most valuable human resources in hi-tech enterprises. The performance evaluation of those people is not only related to their compensation, position change, promotion and demotion, prize and punishment, but also determine the enterprise's rise and fall. Traditional PE theory consists of PE significance,' function, principle, content, methods, procedure etc, but few has refer to the given object of PE.This paper takes the PE for R&D employees of DT Company as the investigative object, The DT Company is a High-tech Manufacturing enterprise which has come from a institute. This paper takes the development, the problem and the solution of the PE system of DT Company as main thread, aiming at the important problem that the PE system of DT Company is not complete and whole performance level is low, absorbing advanced theories of Project Management, Object Management and PE, improves the PE system of DT Company in job analysis, content and standard, procedure and methods of PE aspects. It's valued to DT Company to practice the solution. Meanwhile, this paper provides a case to the same kind-of high-tech enterprise building and perfecting the PE system.Since the research object of this paper is not independent but a part of company, and its performance is influenced by the whole company's performance. Thus the validity of the PE system needs to be evaluated in different enterprises.
