| Karst cave is a popular resource that has high tourist value in karst areas. It is an important culture in Guizhou Province. However, few scientific studies on karst cave and lack of total planning and developing design cause the disorder of landscape planning in the cave, and the result of naming scenic spot at random leads to shortage of cultural meaning, science and artistry. So many karst cave tourisms have declined soon after their development, and the advantage of the cave tourist resources is unable to become economic advantage, which causes a serious waste of resources. Through the investigation of caves in Guizhou Province on the spot, this paper suggests that culture be the soul of the tourism, and that the vitality of tourism should lie in the development of culture.This paper, with human-land relationship as the guiding thoughts, and karstology, topography, tourist geography and cultural geography as theoretical bases, collects data widely from indoor and fieldwork to study karst caves in Guizhou Province, including the culture, cultural structure system and cultural tourist resource development of karst cave. Firstly, the development and types of karst cave culture are summarized, and then the cultural structure system of karst cave is conceived. From this system, secondly, many cultural phenomena and their cultural meaning are discussed and analysed to find out thecausation to summarize the cultural characteristics. Finally, through the research on feasibility of tourist development, it is suggested that the development of tourist resources of karst cave culture is not a predatory type of development but a integration and sustainable one. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Wholly and systemically, this paper, from the ankle of human-land relationship in the karst environment, studies karst cave culture. The karst environment is the geographical background for karst cave culture, which is formed by the influences of the karst environment, ethnic culture, religious culture, history factor and cultural transmission.(2)The cultural structure system of karst cave can be recognized from both cultural structure and form types for the first time. In the terms of structure, it is formed integrating physical culture, behavior culture and mental culture. In the terms of form, it includes original culture and derivative culture.(3)Through the study on the forming and content structure system of karst cave culture, this paper proposes that karst cave culture be characteristics of regional, doubled structure, comprehensive, non-linearity in time gradual advance, multi-leveled, abstractness and sensitiveness of subject and hysteresis and indirection of cultural value.(4) Based on the identification of cultural tourist recourses ofkarst cave, some important cultural tourist recourses of karst cave, including cave exploratory culture, cave science and technology culture, ancient mankind ruins, cave funeral, cave rock painting, cave building, cave war industry, cave religion and scene culture, are found out. On this basis with geography, this paper tries to divide the karst tourist resources into 2 scenic series, 8 types and 86 subtypes.(5)Cultural tourist recourses of karst cave in Guizhou Province are not only of abundant quantity and fine quality, but also have great value in esthetics, art, scientific education, historical culture, exploration, literature and amusement.(6)Because cultural tourist recourses of karst cave are popular, frangible and diversiform, the cultural development is the most important in the development of tourism. It doesn' t mean to develop all resources, but an alternative development. Development should go on a way of "the refined culture popularization" , resources integration and sustainable utilization. |
