Research On The Current Development Conditions And Prospects Of China's Flower Industry

With the rapid development of economy and the enhancement of people's living standard, the requirements of improving living quality and enriching living contents are becoming stronger than ever. The process of improving environment and extending forestation has been quickened because of the increasing deterioration of global environment. Under these circumstances does the flower industry appear and develop quickly. International flower industry has gained its fame as "sun rising industry". The flower industry of China comes into being with this trend, but some problems still exist. For example, the flower production can't be freed from the traditional planting methods; the scale of production is limited; the production methods are backward. The consumption of flower has assumed the increasing tendency, but the old-fashioned consumption conception and low consumption standard have produced bad effects on the development of flower industry. With the making of new upsurge in the market constructions, some flower business centers with a certain scale are responsible for the flower distributions, and the use of advanced modem business methods stimulates the speed of flower distributions. This dissertation analyzes the current conditions of the development in China's flower industry and reveals many factors that hinder the development of flower industry and predicts the prospects of its development. Therefore, the research results have both theoretical and practical senses in promoting the development of China's flower industry.This dissertation is composed of five chapters. The first chapter reveals the background of the global rapid development of flower industry. It points out the main reasons for the development of flower industry, the current features and the important enlightenment for China's flower industry. The second chapter analyzes the characteristics of flower industry and the current condition of the flower consumption with detailed statistical data and the data from the investigation of Shenzhen and Wuhan. The third chapter discusses the channels of flower distributions and the current situation in the market constructions of flower business. The fourth chapter analyzes the main factors that influence the development of flower market by using investigation data and makes a prediction about the developing prospects of flower industry during the period of "the tenth five-year plan" based on different kinds of factors from home and abroad. The fifth chapter raises the measures to develop China's flower industry.
