Study On Zhang Yinhuan

Zhang Yinhuan played an important role in the political arena of the late Qing Dynasty. He was not only a famous thinker, political commentator but also an outstanding diplomat. This paper has studied on the foundation of the predecessors, inspected Zhang Yinhuan's thoughts and practices, discussed Zhang Yinhuan's success or failure of the political activities in the late Qing Dynasty.Zhang Yinhuan lived in a period when China was in its late stage of feudalist society and was forced to open its gate to the imperial powers under their threats of advanced weapons and warships. China then was forced to enter the era of modern times. Unfortunately, this transit was not finished. However, during the transit period, many leading figures made contributions to it and Zhang Yinhuan was one of the typical representatives. The paper is divided by four chapters to elaborate Zhang Yinhuan's Thoughts and practices.In the first chapter, the origin of Zhang Yinhuan's thoughts was illustrated from the perspectives of the background and of subjective factors for the birth of the thoughts.The second chapter deals with the main contents of his Economic Thoughts and practices. The third chapter is an elaboration of Zhang Yinhuan's Political Thoughts and practices. The fourth chapter studies on Zhang Yinhuan's Diplomatic Thoughts and practices.
