The dissertation explores the development of modern Chinese feminism film which is influenced by contemporary culture and the inventive changes it has taken in fictionist, content, narrative pattern, etc. The dissertation is divided into four sections; the first chapter is the definition of feminism films, including the background and condition of Chinese women movies and the definition of feminism films. The second chapter is the history of contemporary Chinese women films. The third chapter is the interpretation of female consciousness of Chinese contemporary women films.
