The difference between the enrollment examination of drama and movie performance major and the basic academic subjects test of the college entrance examination is that the latter mainly has standard answers and detailed grading rules while the former is graded according to the subjective feelings of the examiner,which has been accepted by common practice for decades, and thus causes some subjective differentiation among the examiners. For that reason, the issue that how to perfect the enrollment examination of drama and movie performance major has proved to be important in theory and practice areas.Scientific enrollment examination is of paramount importance to an art school. Whether an art school can cultivate prominent actors has much to do with the enrollment examination choosing potential candidates with good condition. After several years'reformation, the enrollment examination has formed relatively stable test forms, test contents and evaluation methods. Constitutional diathesis and professional qualities are two necessary and basic qualities for engaging in the professional acting. Therefore, the evaluation of the examinees' constitutional diathesis and professional qualities would be the job one to the enrollment of performing professional institutions, exploiting their professional qualities, predicting their talents and finding the candidates best fitting the drama and movie performance major.Through combing the developmental course of China's enrollment examination of drama and movie performance major, the article elaborates the main experience and problems existing in the recruitment practice. From the perspective of psychology and education evaluation, the author analyzes four contents----sound, lines, shapes and performing----of the entrance examination and discusses the connotation of the professional qualities that the candidates should possess, such as sensibility, imagination, power, understanding, observation, attention, adaptability, imitation, memory, sense of conviction, sense of image and sense of humor. Lastly, the author brings forward some reform suggestions to the existing problems----renewing the cultivation objects of the major, optimizing the re-testing process of the major and introducing the evaluation concepts based on consultation.
