Research In Words Containing "Cow" Morpheme

"Cow" culture is the essential part of Chinese traditional culture. The words and expressions relate to "cow", as the record of Han's cultivating culture, are the key words groups which associate the culture and Han lexicon. Based on the words, phrases and proverbs including morphemes of "cow", the author analyses the meanings of the phrases and the relationship between the proverbs. The author also explores the meaning system in these words and phrases. During the process the author applies the method of cultural interpretation of language, as is to say the method of analysis of cultural sign, identification of culture, investigation of culture background cultural psychology. This paper still analyzes the main types, cultural background, cultural value, function and the reasons of formation containing "cow" morpheme. Meanwhile, based on the analysis of cultural sign method, cultural identity, culture psychology, the cultural reasons for these words, the thesis searches the cultural origins of these words aiming to reveal the social and cultural characteristics of these words and phrases.
