Research On The Prepositional Structure"对于+n的v"

The preposition"duiyu"and the structure"N的V"has been the focus of grammarians in modern Chinese grammar. Many scholars have made a detailed explanation of their nature, characteristics from various angles and obtained a certain achievement. However, the investigation on the preposition structure is involved only to meet the needs of"duiyu"and"N的V"in the process of Chinese preposition studies. So generally speaking they are short of systematic study.This paper mainly studies the structure of the preposition"对于+N的V"in synchronic and describes and interprets this structure using three-dimensional theory of the grammatical . In addition to introduction and conclusion, the discussion points in the following areas:First of all, we investigated the internal elements of"对于+N的V"one by one including"N"and"V". Then we analysed it's structural characteristics and condition of syntactic distribution.Secondly, in semantic,we analysed the semantic relation between"N"and"V"and its constituent parts differently. Then, we researched the chronological order between"对于+N的V"and the main clause.Once more, in pragmatic, we pointed out that the prepositional structure"对于+N的V"have the topic function, the emphasis function and anaphora in the sentence. Then the structure of a preposition"duiyu"had made a brief analysis.At last , this paper analyzed the expression of prepositional structure"对于+N的V"in English from three planes: syntactic, semantic and pragmatic. And we compared this structure in English and Chinese.
