Hume's religious idea is a indistinct system, which can be interpreted by ethic ,or the philosophy of religion. Hume's idea within< Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion >was mainly from philosophy angle. Through analysis these arguments and debates,we can reveal Hume's criticism of"Design argument",and define"True religion".The thesis desicrible the background of Hume's idea,firstly.Futhermore,by analysis the text of< Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion >,we can comb Hume's religious idea ,and grap his idea within the text.This thesis include six sections:Introduction, one to four chapter and conclusion.Introduction primarily analysis the value of Hume's religious idea. Furthermore, given the"design argument"position and back to objective historical sources.Chapter one :"Overview Hume religious thought", shows that religious ideology of the environment Hume. the development of "design argument" before Hume, Hume's < Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion > publication and presentation in the text.Chapter two is the criticism on"anthropomorphism". Discuss the irrationality of the"design argument".Chapter three mainly criticize"A priori proof"and"Theodicy".Chapter four is about "true religion" issue, which is the end of Hume, at the end of the dialogue, by the Philo and Cleanthes deal with the "true religion" question ,it reveal Hume's think. Conclusion essentially not only represents the heart of Hume set of religious ideals, but also the destination of Hume where religious thought.Conclusion mainly discusses the value of Hume's religious thought and impact on later thinkers, and "design" in the state of development after Hume. Although Hume's criticism did not let "design argument" extinct, but later designs had a profound impact on the new "design argument". These ideas must take into account of Hume's criticism .
