America And The Sino-Japanese War

The Sino-Japanese war is the war between Japan and Dynasty Qing because of Korea during 1894-1895.Before the war, American accepted the intervention request of China and Korea and advised Japan to withdraw its troops. But America refused to take further actions, and declined the joint intervention of England. During the war, America declared neutrality, but actually it supported Japan by military, finances and diplomacy. During the war, America protected colonies of Dynasty Qing and Japan. There were some negotiations about Japanese-spies between America and Dynasty Qing. America give instruction at end, distinguishing rightly spies and lawful Japanese colonies, and not protecting spies. During the war, America declined the joint interventions of England and Dynasty Qing, and it acted alone. During the negotiation, as peacemakers, Mr. Denby and Mr. Dun helped Japan and Dynasty Qing to transfer information, uponthat America made negotiation in favor of itself. As a counselor of Dynasty Qing, Mr. Roster helped Dynasty Qing settled something, but he figured for advantage for America and Japan impersonally. When Russia, Germany and France asked Japan to abandon Liaotung Peninsula, America declined Japan' request to antagonize Russia with Italy, because it was short of strength and its aim was achieved.
