The thesis is studied on'Hengyunshanren poetry' 32 volumes and shows the features and characteristics in 5 aspects. In the introduction, the thesis introduces Wang Hongxu and his creations briefly. There is still less materials about Wang Hongxu, but there are research values in both personal and family. The first chapter is 'the spirit of poetics—advocating antiquity and Tang'.Influenced by 'Yunjian faction','prosperity of Qing','poetics discourse of advocating Tang',the poet advocates antiquity and Tang. The second chapter is 'three kinds of consciousnesses of the subject'.The poetry shows the consciousness of'lonely traveler' strongly because of his silence and long-time official career, shows the consciousness of 'hermit' obviously owing to his father's hermit experience and his own ups and downs, shows the consciousness of'Jiangnan' due to his identity. The third chapter is'aesthetic qualities—telexed and light'.Firstly, the poet favors negative time,'far' and'indirect' viewpoints to form the atmosphere. Secondly, on conveying the emotion, the poet uses the quiet things and emphasizes the'idle and calm' of the subject. Thirdly, on the skill of using words, the poet prefers to choose lissome and fixed verbs. In addition, the images of'wind' and'moon' are often used as antithesis. The appendix is a chronicle of Wang Hongxu's life. Though Wang Hongxu is very famous, there is still not a chronicle. This chronicle is based on his poetry, archives and epitaph.
