Logic and rhetoric,seemingly out of tune, and do not detached, however,the both have their separate systems and go hand in hand, inseparable.Logic is knowledge about "truth",and rhetoric is knowledge about" beauty".The former usually targets the objective, true, accurate language content, while the latter often takes beautiful and vivid language form for own responsibility. If no the "truth"of content as its foundation, no such thing as "beauty" of form, while "real"content can not depart from beautiful form of language.In the communication, the communicative purpose can achieve smooth, sure and accurate content is the primary, the second depends on appropriateness of the way of communication. Clearly, the role of logic and rhetoric in which is essential.In fact, this is the matter about "truth" and "beauty" in the communication."Truth"and "beauty" constitute the two basic scales in the communication, in other words,Logic can ensure the accuracy of the content of communication, and rhetoric can improve the appropriateness of the way of communication. Accurate content is the base of appropriate way. Evidently, in the two basic scales, logic is the first and rhetoric is secondary. This article aims at studying logic and rhetoric, try to discuss the significance of perfect combination of "truth" and "beauty" in the communication.Besides the introduction and epilogue, the text is divided into three chapters:The first chapter, mainly expounding the meaning, the overview and the relationship of logic and rhetoric.The second chapter, focusing on the important role of the logical method and rhetoric method in the communication, and expounding in the two basic scales of communication, "truth" is basic, is in first place,and "truth" is the base of "beauty" The third chapter, mainly from the perspective of speech act interpreting the normative role of logic law for communication, the activity role of rhetoric followed the rules for expression and the effect combination of logic and rhetoric for real significance on successful communication. |
