Mongolians are a great nation. They have established the Great Mongolia across Europe and Asia in the 13th century and they was recorded in glorious ancient history of human. The 13th century have been called "Mongol era" or "Mongol Century" in Chinese and foreign History educational world. In recent years, with the party and government attach importance to the development of national culture and carry forward the traditional Chinese spirit of the policy implementation, Mongolian studies have also vigorous developing and at the same time, many aspects of studies have carried out on the Mongolian spirit. The studies are taken from its form and content and have put forward their views and ideas. On the base of previous study results, the paper from a philosophical point of view, tried to have a systematized study and discussion on the main content and significance of National Spirit of Great Mongolia period. First, explained and distinguished the Concept of National consciousness and National Spirit. On this base, talked about Mongolian's origin and its form, analyzed. Mongolian Spirit formed on the social, economic, natural, religious and cultural foundation. And writer discussed the main content and form of Mongolian spirit of the time from four aspects of patriotism, solidarity, brave, respect for wisdom. Second, writer analyzed and discussed "Suite", "Khiyan Suite" and thought that they were the symbol of Mongolian spirit of that time. Last, discussed the historical achievements and significance of Mongolian spirit of that time on promoting the national, cultural development and the exchanges of other aspects of world civilization. And thought the criticism of the inheritance of traditional Mongolian national spirit has practical and theoretical significance on building national unity and the two civilizations, under the new conditions of the market economy.
