Composer Sang Tong's (1923- )"Seven Pieces on Inner-Mongolian Folksongs"is produced to be a piano work with the eastern Inner Mongolian fork song's as its musical materials. It is made up of"The lamenting songs","Friendship","Homesickness","Love songs on grassland","Children's dance","Sad memories"and"Dance music".the theme tone of seven piano works come from"Dingerjab","Sanhen","Manduntonglage","Going hometown","Mount hinggan","Sweat lover","Dinglangbin","Benborai","Homesickness"and"Dear modeg"etc. ten Inner Mongolian folksongs. The seven piano works of"Seven Pieces on Inner-Mongolian Folksongs"not only remain the original Mongolian folk songs'style , but also are gifted new color by means of expressing methods of the piano music.The paper analyzes in two parts: the source and composing methods of"Seven Pieces on Inner-Mongolian Folksongs"Based on that, the paper expounds the influence of the work. Firstly, seven piano works are produced with eastern Inner-Mongolian folk songs as its musical materials. So in the first chapter of the paper, the author analyzes and discusses the formative characteristic and lyrics used in Mongolian folk songs in order to study how the composer gives expression to the emotions of the original folk songs in adapted piano work.According to seven ditties, the contents the author express are as follows : the ditty missing family and relatives in their hometown ,"The lamenting songs"and"Homesickness"; the ditty describing friendship and love ,"Friendship"and"Love songs on grassland"; the ditty expressing dancing...
