It is well known that Xiangxi is a poetic name as its unique and beautiful natural resources, the mysterious and magnificent WuChu culture and the ethnic minorities'customs of plain and aggressive since ancient times. In 1920's, Shen Congwen has taken up very important positions in the literary world in China.Then it has been a tremendous amount of this poetic name of Xiangxi red-letter to the literature on the color. His main literature works are "The Xiangxi world" which became the beginning.of "the xiangxi narration " in the history of modern chinese literature. Were then subjected to western Hunan Han Shaogong and Sun Jianzhong and other local writers to write poetry from generation to generation, so this geographical name of Xiangxi,is becoming a vivid literature image exists in the history of Modern & Contemporary Chinese literature. Although different times, the writers'cognitive experience and the expressions of personal feeling are difference, their "Xiangxi narration", implicitly or explicitly, have a dualistic antithesis contradiction between the invasion of modern civilization and the local entrenched, which become a kind of the main subjects.This thesis aimed at from a dualistic antithesis perspective between the invasion of modern civilization and the local entrenched, through Shen Congwen,Han Shaogong,Sun Jianzhong,Cai Cehai and a series of writer's "Xiangxi narration" works analysis and discussion, trying to depict the whole context of this "Xiangxi narration" binary structure and study the commonness and individuality of the binary structure in these writers'literature narrative.In the preface, the main standpoint has been posed through introduction and analysis of Shen Congwen,Han Shaogong,Sun Jianzhong,Cai Cehai and a series of writer's "Xiangxi narration" works in the 20th century.Then come up with this common standpoint.The first chapter focuses on adherence to the rural homestead and desire for the modern civilization from the "Xiangxi narrative" works.Then according to the reading of Xiangxi narrative texts in different period, explains the writers'basic attitude between local and modern civilization.The second chapter to interpret works by authors on the negative views about the two civilizations. Including the rational examination and criticism of the humble village under the contemplation of modern civilization, rejection and reflection of modern civilization under anomie of traditional civilization.The third chapter discusses the anxious state of confusion and perplexity reflected by the writers and their works of "Xiangxi narrative" in the dualistic antithesis and competition between modern civilization and the local culture. Then try to make an analysis and evaluation of this contradictions.
