Xiangxi And The Native Literature Of Ethnic Groups

Xiangxi has the heterogeneous regional culture and many legends in the historical process for thousands of years. The contemporary Tujia writers, who are the intellectuals and expressers in Xiangxi, are deeply attracted by the culture. Their literary output with its unique glamour enriches the contemporary literary. The research of Tujia writers as the whole object is mentioned in the academic field, but not systematic and in-depth because of various reasons. Through the analysis and interpretation of the contemporary Tujia writers'literary output, this paper shows the developing features and styles of Xiangxi in an overall manner.This paper is organized into 3 sections: Section 1, which is the foundation of the paper, mainly introduces the literary outputs of Tujia writers. In order to give readers an insight into Xiangxi Tujia and make the audience in resonance between Tujia writers and their literary outputs, the history, culture and literature of Xiangxi Tujia are introduced.In Section 2, author groups of Xiangxi composed of four representative writers are introduced. The first author is Sun Jianzhong, who is the main founder of Tujia culture. The second author is Tianying, whose literary outputs have brigand smell. The third one is Cai Cehai, Who seeks fanciful style. The last one is Peng Xueming, who is the spokesman of Xiangxi culture. Although the literary outputs of these four authors have their own unique features, the roots of them focus in Xiangxi, where is the homeland of the authors'.Section 3 analyzes the authors'creation in the entire environment. When traditional culture of Xiangxi Tujia is taking a hit by the modern civilization, the authors choose escape or encouragement or regression. Whatever they choose, the attitude is the interpretation to native Soil and modern civilization. The reflection from the attitude is confusion and anxiety, as well as infatuation to their native land.
